Swim-a-thon to support diabetes
Aquamoves, in conjunction with a number of local community groups, is holding a Swim-A-Thon to raise awareness about diabetes.
The groups involved in the Swim-a-Thon are the Shepparton Diabetes
Support Group and East Shepparton Rotary Club.
Aquamoves Centre Manager Leanne Mulcahy says many local groups have united to support the cause.
“This is a fantastic event to assist in raising awareness of diabetes,” says Ms Mulcahy.
“Not all people are aware of the causes of diabetes, so this event can help draw attention to the disease.”
“Funds raised will be used to purchase additional resources including books and educational material.”
The Swim-A-Thon will take place on Friday 30 March beginning at 5.30pm at Aquamoves.
