Meet the Lifeguard
Meet the Lifeguard is a program where children get introduced to a lifeguard and learn all about water safety and local pool rules.
Meet the Lifeguard allows children from local schools to learn more about the role of a lifeguard and how a lifeguard can help children when they are at the pool. The program provides a valuable tool in developing links between children and lifeguards. It also helps to maximise on the fun and safety children can have at pools over summer.
Children also get a rare insight into the role of a lifeguard.
Meet the Lifegaurd is an interactive program that teaches children about the risks and dangers at channels, lakes, rivers, dams, beaches and pools. The session also covers information on surf water safety such as safety flags, rips and undercurrents.
The program also helps to educate children about making safe and water smart decisions on where to swim.
Children are also taught the importance of the message, "Slip, Slop, Slap."
