complying with Children services regulations

In order to provide a safe and happy enviroment for your child, and to comply with Children Services Regulations, the following guidelines are practised:

  • A maximum of 10 care hours per week applies.
  • Children who are sick or who have infectious disease or condition such as diarrhoea or vomiting will not be accepted into care. Please check with staff if you are unsure about bringing your child.
  • On arrival and departure from the Child Care facility a parent or guardian must sign their child in and out of care.
  • In creating a pleasent atmosphere we discourage toys of a violent nature (eg. toy guns).
  • If something out of the ordinary happened to your child before arrival (eg. upset) please advise Child Care staff so we can provide some extra care.
  • If your child is stressed, hurt or unwell staff will notify parents or guardians.
  • A change of clothes and/or nappies is required for babies and children who are toilet training.
  • All items brought into the centre inlcuding spare clothes, food and drink containers need to be clearly labelled with your child's name.
  • Please provide a healthly snack, (no lollies, nuts or chocolate) a drink/bottle for your child if they are in care for a few hours. All clearly labelled. No nuts including peanut butter due to health and choking risks associated. Any food containing nuts or peanut butter will be sent home uneaten.

We welcome all enquiries and suggestions. Please speak to one of our friendly staff. Health and Safety issues can be discussed with the Child Care Co-Ordinator.
